Love/Hate Tag

Hi everyone! I was tagged by the amazing Janice over at The Simple Beginner for the Love/Hate tag. Check out her answers here. I always have a hard time doing these tags/awards because of the nominations at the end. I follow a lot of lovely bloggers and hand-picking a few always gives me a hard time. 😦 Can’t I just nominate all of you?

– – – – –

Rules: In this tag we have to share 10 things we love and 10 we hate and nominate up to 10 blogs to do the same.
My answer’s twist: 5 things are food related

Things I love:

  1. Books – and its smell when you flip through the pages
  2. Nike Roshes – sneakers are so comfortable and by far this line is my favorite
  3. Sundays (just like Janice, hee hee)
  4. Hiking
  5. Korean Music and Series – Hello Big Bang!
  6. Cooking pasta
  7. Fish and seafood
  8. My mom’s cooking
  9. Ramen
  10. Dimsum

Things I hate:

  1. FLYING COCKRACHES – Oh Manila, you are dirty.
  2. Riding the MRT – Only because they are implementing a dysfunctional system
  3. Unruly crowds
  4. Liars, cheats and backstabbers
  5. Hair on my legs – I am a very hairy person and I hate it when I NEED to shave/wax it all off
  6. Pulang Itlog aka Salted Duck Eggs
  7. Balut – My friends and I dissected one for fun and I never liked them after
  8. Noisy chewers
  9. Softdrinks/Cola – These drinks are so unhealthy
  10. MSG – Surely there has got to be a better way to add flavor in food

Whew. There you have it. I hope you had fun reading through it.

I am nominating these bloggers to do the tag:
This Hungry Little Piggy
My Red Page
Estelea’s Blog
Diet, Yoga, Energy
#LoveBooks

If you are not on the list, don’t fret I’d still love to hear what you guys love and hate so go ahead and do the tag and link me on your answers! 😀

  1. Omg. Alam ko to! The MRT, etc struggle is real po. I can relate with you! I grew up in the Philippines, and I don’t like balu eithert. I used to like itlog na pula growing up but now I’m a vegan, so no meat / dairy / eggs /animal products for me! Kakaloka cockroaches sa lahat ng lugar though. I’ve seen maybe just 2 or 3 cockroaches jn the last three years here, but they were huge! Thanks for tagging me in this post. I didn’t know how much we had in common. This is awesome. Keep writing!

    1. OMG!! Nagulat ako nag Tagalog ka!! 😀 Sabi ko na nga ba you look Asian sa mga pics mo! Gusto ko i-try maging vegan kasi it’s healthier but I just can’t imagine not eating animal products!! 😦 At mahal ang gulay dito 😛 Thanks for dropping by!! 🙂

      1. It’s easy to make meatless / plant based Filipino food (I love it and make it all the timr, i use meat substitutes from the store or just beans) but I think it’s more difficult to be vegan because of the culture. Veganism is centered on the plight and treatment of the animals and it’s impossible to do it when there’s a local fiesta or binyag or party in the barangay there. I like that everything in the palengke is organic, though. It’s healthier to get greens and it’s cheaper sa Pinas.

      2. Wow. I didn’t know you can make meatless Filipino foods! I’ll do research on that. I agree, the culture doesn’t help at all. Kahit simple lunch/dinner lang if your family prefers to eat animal meat over veggies/organic stuff mahirap talaga. 😛 I guess its cheaper here but cheaper ang karne haha! 😀

  2. Thank you so much for nominating me! I love your post and your blog. I just had a bowl of ramen for lunch. I love ramen and dinsum, as well. I really want a pair of Nike Roshers they look so comfortable. I hate noisy chewers they are the worst- especially when you are in a restaurant!!! I haven’t seen or eaten a real balut but I have seen people on TV eat it. It looks disgusting!

  3. Thanks so much for the nomination ! Balut is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen, I am a vegetarian so imagine my face when a Pinoy friend of mine came with one for me to taste. Brrrr… still gives me the creeps.. 😛 Noisy chewers and soup drinkers are the worse, I agree 😉
