Let’s have some coffee

I almost missed this week’s coffee date and Day 1 of NaBloPoMo! It’s been a busy day. Now that the day’s dwindling down, I have a few minutes to spare for us to catch up!

If we were together having coffee, I’d tell you that I need to get my eyes checked. I feel like my eyesight is getting worse and the fact that I’m not using my glasses regularly is not helping. But I don’t like wearing glasses all the time so I’m having a little problem.

Anyway, I’ve adjusted the brightness of my laptop and things are better for now. If we were having coffee, you’d probably see my excitement for this month’s NaBloPoMo. I’m worried I won’t be able to make it for thirty days but I’m giving it my all. Let’s see what happens. Oh, and I almost missed day 1. We spent the whole day over at my grandparent’s house and we came home pretty late.

I’d also want to share with you that I find it amazing when old people share their lives with you. Even if I have known my grandparents ever since I was born, I feel like there’s just so much they haven’t told and shared with me. My lolo (grandfather) was born in the year 1932. Oh my goodness, imagine how many years ago that was. How many presidents/disasters/events they have witnessed and they are still here. I am very thankful that he is still alive and I really hope he shares more personal stories with us next time.

If we were having coffee right now, I’d like to hear your opinions about the scheme at the Manila International Airport (they put bullets in random passengers bags) and the presidential candidates the Philippines have! The other day there was another OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) who was victimized by this scheme and last I heard, she was locked up in jail with her bail set at 80,000 Pesos. I feel so sad and frustrated at the current system in place and I wish that the next president could fix all of this. It would take a lot of years for change to be seen but I hope the next president could make a difference.

And now, If we were having coffee, I’d probably make up some lousy excuse because the clock says it’s pretty late already and I really want to go home and start my Sunday skin care regime! It’s actually a very long process which consists of me washing, exfoliating, cleansing and moisturizing my face. I look forward every week for this. You can’t imagine how dirty Manila is.

I hope you had a great week and I would love to read about it. Post a comment or whatever. Let’s be real friends.

Until next week,
Kat
