Recipe: Ham and Cheese Omelette

I don’t know how to cook an omelette. 🙁

It’s just one of those things I try but fail at often. I always end up with raw eggs or a hybrid of scrambled eggs and omelette.

This week, however, all that changed. I successfully made one and it looked pretty decent I just have to share it. 🙂

You know me, most of my ingredients are just lying around our house and this time is not an exception. We had some leftover ham and mozarella cheese so that is easily and surely added into this recipe.

Slice the ham and cheese. Add in three eggs. Mix!

In a pan, melt butter. Once done, add in the eggs!


Let the sides cook. Try and lift the side slowly until it does and fold. DO NOT FORCE IT.


If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my quest for the perfectly cooked omelette it is you should never force cooking it. It’s a lot like love. You let the love cook on its own. Give it time to be the best possible version of itself before folding it and letting it meet its other better half. If you force it and make it bend to your own will, it will fail. The best things come to those who wait. 😉


  1. For some reason, I always have trouble with omelettes which is why I usually order them when I’m out for brunch even though it pains me to pay so much $ for basically just eggs..

    • I also have trouble with scrambled eggs…I always end up over cooking it. Glad to know I’m not the only one having troubles with eggs LOL 😉
