Music Mondays #19

Hello everyone!! Happy Chinese New Year! Here in the Philippines, we have a lot of Chinese brothers and sisters. Hence today is a special non-working Holiday. BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME…it isn’t, too bad.

Today, I’m sharing with you another Coldplay song!

I have absolutely no idea what this song is about. I tried my best to interpret it but I just can’t. I did read a lot of meanings online but somehow it didn’t connect with me. One thing I’m sure of is the fact that it has a great beat and it makes me want to raise my hands in the air while the song is playing.

I think more than anything, this is the reason this song so good for me. Do you have your own interpretation for this song? I’d love to read it.

Also if you have have the link to their Superbowl performance, I’d love to see it. Do comment below. 😀

  1. I love the music video of this song because it promotes/shows the culture of India ♡ I watched the halftime show on TV earlier, not sure if there’s a video uploaded on youtube already 🙂

  2. Hello Kat. Di tayo nakapagkape ng matagal tagal na panahon LOL

Iniisip ko lang kung ano koneksyon ng lyrics nitong song sa India at sa Holi Celebration nila.

    • LOL! Sabi ni Google, “…Holi celebrated as a festival of love” tapos naisip ko love yung theme nila kanina sa superbowl? Hindi ko rin maintindihan sa totoo lang. 🙁

  3. I don’t know why, but I’m not feeling Coldplay lately. The music they’ve made over the past couple of years just doesn’t speak to me. I think it doesn’t sound like the Coldplay we used to know. Oh well, people change and so do bands.

For me it definitely was an Adele week;)

    • I agree! They’re a lot more pop now. I think a lot of their older fans don’t like this too much.

      • Yeah, I just always liked how they didn’t go with the trend of less music and more beat. At least we still have the old songs to listen to:).

  4. What I have heard of Coldplay I like. As for the interpretation of this song – I would have to listen to it again.
