Coffee Time

Finally, some coffee

Have I missed you guys! 🙂 The past two weeks have been super fun and I have a lot of stuff I want to share with you. So, let’s get this party started!

* * * * *

First off, if we were having coffee, I’d apologize sincerely for skipping last week’s coffee date! I was in a far away island, Calaguas, and I decided to drop everything for a weekend. It was amazing!!! I’ll share with you my experience and of course some photos as soon as I can. 🙂

And since we’re still talking about traveling, if we were having coffee, I’d also share with you that our family had a little getaway up North (Ilocos Region) and we just got back last night. It was the shortest planned trip ever (30 minutes) and there were times when I just wanted to say “NO MORE FAMILY OUTINGS“. LOL. It was super hectic but it was fun and historic. It was also very timely since we decided to take the trip when the Philippines was celebrating the EDSA Revolution and we went to the province of President Marcos. Oh, and it was so creepy seeing President Marcos’ body. I have to brush up on my history/current events to determine if that is his real body or a wax replica. The guy said it was real and they kept it refrigerated when the museum/mausoleum closes everyday. Do I believe him? I don’t know, it sounds to good to be true to think that after thirty years, his body is still in tact and hasn’t decomposed yet.

Moving on, if we were having coffee, I’d share with you the amazing (?) ideas/plans I have for my blog. I have been continuously trying to find my footing in the blogosphere and I still haven’t found it but man has this journey been fun. So I guess my main plan is to incorporate some minimalist ideas here and there…starting with simplifying my categories.

February is almost done and this month’s LOVE topic is a complete failure. I don’t think I wrote anything inspiring except for this one — Everything I learned about love, I learned from my family. I tried my best but I guess love isn’t something I can really write about. However, if we were having coffee, I’d also tell you about the new thing I’m doing called — Opinionated Kat. The main goal for this is to free write about things/ideas. Having two posts already, I feel like I have a lot to learn about writing opinions and finding my voice. I consider it an exercise. You should try it, it’s really fun.

I think that’s mostly it…I don’t want to overload you with a lot of stuff but I do want to close this week’s coffee share with some great photos from my family trip in Ilocos.

That’s it for today’s coffee date! Did you have a good week? What happened? I’d love to hear it.

Love, Kat.

  1. Lovely photos! This reminds me that I have to gather my photos and thoughts about our family’s Ilocos trip two(?) years ago. Hahaha!

    • Go Go Go! I had low expectations for Ilocos, tbh to it was a pleasant surprise when I had fun. 😀
