We stayed at the Amarela Resort located in Panglao, Bohol. The main reason why I chose the resort was because it offered privacy (only 25 rooms) and it’s own beach! I had high expectations for this resort but never did I imagine that I would completely be blown away by its facilities, food and management.
First a quick tour of the hotel.
One thing I liked to note are their toiletries. Usually, hotels would offer you travel size ones but here they put it in refillable containers so guests can’t take it home, lol. Kidding, they do this to help the environment. Look at those two containers in the shower, that’s what I was talking about. The hotel has a wide collection of books and DVDs you can borrow for your pleasure. I had a fun time going through their collection. It was too bad since they had a lot of books but I knew I couldn’t finish it during my stay.
This is the general vibe of their hotel. It is very homey and close to nature. TWO THUMBS UP!
Oh and they also have their own art gallery! Most of the paintings are from Bohol painters and it covers their rich history.
Their pool isn’t that big but you’d be surprised because during our whole stay, we didn’t even share it with anyone. It’s an infinity pool that has the beach for its view.
Enough stalling, here’s the beach photos. We were a bit unlucky during our stay because the it was windy which made it a bit difficult to swim in the beach. ENJOY!
Here’s Alona Beach. To get here, we had to take a 15 minute tricycle ride. To be honest, the private beach in Amarela was a lot better. 😉
Bohol was truly a wonderful place to visit. I loved every minute of my stay and I can’t wait to be back!
