K-Review: Come Back Mister

Come back mister is Rain’s comeback to the small screen. It’s not his usual type of roles but he still killed it. This series revolves around two people who died unexpectedly and still has unfinished business.

A man is worked to death, but he comes back to the living world in the attractive body of another man for a limited amount of time.

Lee Hae-Joon (Rain) is a perfect man with good looking appearance. He works as a section chief in the women’s apparel section at a department store. His body is actually possessed by the spirit of Kim Young-Soo (Kim In-Kwon) who was worked to death.

Hong Nan (Oh Yeon-Seo) is a beautiful woman, but her spirit is possessed by tough guy (Kim Su-Ro).

Shin Da-Hye (Lee Min-Jung) is a beautiful housewife, but her husband suddenly dies. She falls into a love triangle with Lee Hae-Joon and a promising store employee (Yoon Park). -Asian Wiki

Honestly, the start of this series wasn’t my cup of tea. I hate over the top acting and somehow this series gave off that feeling early on. Good thing the story and the acting got better.

What I like about this series is the lesson you can learn from it. A lot of us always think that our lives aren’t going to end soon so we take a lot of things for granted. This series is a perfect reminder of how we ideally should live our lives.

I have to warn you, however, that the story itself is very so-so. I just like to dig deep. Would I recommend this series to you? No, if you’re looking for a light type of series. Yes, if you like to watch a series that has a lesson.

Have you watched this series? What do you think?
