Review: Nature Republic’s Provence Calendula Daily Sun Block

I wanted and desperately needed the Klair’s Midday Blue Sun Lotion but it was so elusive (it was always sold out!) that I gave in to this one from the Nature Republic.

Can you notice the pink hue in it?

It leaves a white mark(?) on your skin

When blended a bit more

I can easily see that it has a slight pink color to it.  But as soon as it hits my skin and I mix it all over my face, I can already see that it’s too white! It doesn’t blend well and to top it all off, it leaves my face looking all oily and shiny! I don’t know if I just put too much or it’s really like that! I did, however, try to lessen the amount I put on my face but I feel like I didn’t put enough. Just to complete my skincare, and before I put on any makeup, I always like to powder my face just so I can control the oiliness from this sunscreen.

I can’t really rate how much safer my skin is because I am using this product, though! Lol. I don’t even know if I am using sunscreens properly. I know that sunscreens should be reapplied after three hours. Does that mean if I already have my face on (with makeup etc), am I suppose to put sunscreen on top if it still? I think that’d be weird and would only clog my pores especially if I already commuted and my face is already exposed to pollution. Thoughts?

Overall, I neither like nor dislike this product. It does what it advertises and I’m all good with that. Would I repurchase it? Probably not.

  1. Try the new biore aqua rich uv watery gel. It doesnt leave any white cast and its not sticky. Smells like sunblock but not that strong and goes away quickly , or the biore bright milk uv. However the bright milk leaves white cast and a bit dry to the face but no smell .

    1. I’ll try that once I finish my Klairs sunblock. I like the Klairs so far but I’m always on the look out for new products 😀 Thanks Jill!
