If you’ve read my Ten Step Korean Skincare post, you’d know that a couple of months ago, I didn’t have a sunscreen in my regimen yet.
I wanted and desperately needed the Klair’s Midday Blue Sun Lotion but it was so elusive (it was always sold out!) that I gave in to this one from the Nature Republic.
I can easily see that it has a slight pink color to it. But as soon as it hits my skin and I mix it all over my face, I can already see that it’s too white! It doesn’t blend well and to top it all off, it leaves my face looking all oily and shiny! I don’t know if I just put too much or it’s really like that! I did, however, try to lessen the amount I put on my face but I feel like I didn’t put enough. Just to complete my skincare, and before I put on any makeup, I always like to powder my face just so I can control the oiliness from this sunscreen.
I can’t really rate how much safer my skin is because I am using this product, though! Lol. I don’t even know if I am using sunscreens properly. I know that sunscreens should be reapplied after three hours. Does that mean if I already have my face on (with makeup etc), am I suppose to put sunscreen on top if it still? I think that’d be weird and would only clog my pores especially if I already commuted and my face is already exposed to pollution. Thoughts?
Overall, I neither like nor dislike this product. It does what it advertises and I’m all good with that. Would I repurchase it? Probably not, I’d go through the market to find one that wouldn’t be so oily after application.
