Review: Etude House’s Color My Brows

A year ago, I had light brown hair. I used this product religiously to lighten my eyebrows. It was a necessity back then!

Now that my hair is back to black, I bought it again in the shade rich brown. I was thinking that maybe I could skip using eyebrow pencils and just use an eyebrow mascara to make my brows more presentable. The question becomes what are eyebrow mascaras and what is their main use?

Shade: Rich Brown

One thing I know and sure of is that when you use eyebrow mascaras, your brows would look more presentable. The mascara would hold the strands in place while also adding in a bit of color to it. If your eyebrows are already presentable and have a shape that you like, you can use this product to add more color to it while skipping your eyebrow pencil. However, if you’re eyebrows have a life of their own (cousins and not sisters) then using this product alone will not do the trick.

Attempt to show you how it looks!

I say that eyebrow mascaras are only meant to add more definition to an already defined eyebrow and not to be used as an alternative or sole product to define eyebrows. Whew. I hope you got that! Just look at my eyebrows above. As you can see, my left eyebrow has a better shape and it was highlighted perfectly using the product. However, on the right side, it didn’t do much.

TL,DR: Use this product if you already have eyebrows that are defined and naturally pretty. Don’t rely on this product to give you instant eyebrows on fleek. For that, you’ll need the whole gang! Also, this product is mainly used to color your brows. This is for people who have a different color for their eyebrows and hair.

Would I repurchase this product? Yes, but only if I colored my hair and I need to match my eyebrow color with my hair color. An eyebrow pencil and spoolie can make more wonders.
